Get Ready to Run! 2026 Boxer Super Run Dates Revealed for Durban and Joburg

The countdown is officially on! The Boxer Super Run is set to return in 2026, with organisers confirming Boxer Super Run Durban on Sunday, 18 October 2026 and Boxer Super Run Joburg on Sunday, 15 November 2026.

Launched in 2023, the Boxer Super Run has quickly become one of South Africa’s most anticipated 5km events. Centred around the world’s most popular running distance, the event offers something for everyone, welcoming elite athletes, social runners, walkers and first-time participants to enjoy a high-energy, inclusive race-day experience.

“We’re excited to officially announce the 2026 Boxer Super Run dates and invite runners, walkers and families to save the dates for what promises to be another unforgettable series,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “Since its launch in 2023, the Boxer Super Run has grown into a celebration of fitness, community and fun, proving that the 5km distance truly is for everyone. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, taking on your first road race or simply looking to enjoy an active day out with friends and family, the Boxer Super Run offers an experience that welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels. We look forward to welcoming thousands of participants to Durban on 18 October and Joburg on 15 November for two incredible race-day experiences.”

Date: Sunday 18 October 2026
Distance: 5km
Start Venue: Snell Parade, near Blue Lagoon Park, Durban
Finish Venue: Blue Lagoon Park, Durban
Event Waves & Start Times:
• 07:00 / OPEN WAVE (Anyone and everyone, club runners, serious runners, schools, runners who prefer an early start, masses)
• 08:00 – 09:30 / SUPER SOCIAL WAVE (Dress up, groups, company groups, charities, runners who prefer a slightly later start)
• 09:45 / ELITE WOMEN
• 10:00 / ELITE MEN
Entry List: R100.00
Minimum Age of Entrant: 9 years old
Entries Open: Thursday 06 August 2026
Entries Close: Monday, 12 October 2026 or once capacity has been reached.

2. Boxer Super Run JOBURG
Date: Sunday 15 November 2026
Distance: 5km
Start: Orange Road, Emmarentia, Johannesburg
Finish Venue: Marks Park Sports Club
Event Waves & Start Times:
• 07:00 / OPEN WAVE (Anyone and everyone, club runners, serious runners, schools, runners who prefer an early start, masses)
• 08:00 – 09:30 / SUPER SOCIAL WAVE (Dress up, groups, company groups, charities, runners who prefer a slightly later start)
• 09:45 / ELITE WOMEN
• 10:00 / ELITE MEN
• 10:30 / 1KM KIDS RACE
Minimum Age of Entrant: 9 years old
Entries Open: Thursday 27 August 2026
Entries Close: Monday 09 November 2026 or once capacity has been reached.
