Holidays = Jetski Rescues

Jan Hoffman, NSRI St Lucia deputy station commander, said: At 08h36, Friday, 02 January 2026, NSRI St Lucia duty crew were activated follow reports of a jetski capsized South of Ingwe Beach, St Lucia.

On arrival on the scene we found the the adult male skipper, on a holiday, from Gauteng, safely ashore and the jetski capsized on a sandbank offshore.

The NSRI tractor was dispatched to assist and was able to recover the jetski to the shore without incident.

NSRI medics checked on the casualty man and found him to not be injured.

NSRI crew assisted the skipper to recover his jetski and no further assistance was required.
