Crocworld Conservation Centre in Scottburgh welcomed more than 200 runners for the first-ever Crocworld Trail Run on Sunday, 26 April 2026. Hosted in partnership with KZN Trail Running, the event treated runners to 5km, 10km, and 20km routes, with David Lamont (1:35:37) taking first place in the long course, and Romy Wenzel (1:41:04) taking the women’s title (full results available at https://kzntrailrunning.co.za/results/). “This was another cracker of an event,” said Jason Scott of Badger’s Cycling and Sports Centre, recently opened at Crocworld. “The highlight was definitely the course, with everyone commenting on how unique, technical, and engaging it was. We’ve purpose-built every step of the trail with runners and riders in mind, and we’re only just getting started.”

This event marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Crocworld as it continues to grow into a leading outdoor adventure hub that blends conservation with active-lifestyle experiences. Next up is the Cross Country League 8 on 2 May 2026 (Contact Lungelo Zuma on 1mashiza@gmail.com or 063 013 5477), followed by the Renishaw Solstice Race on 20 June 2026 (Contact Runé Van Zyl on 082 923 5535 | https://racepass.com/za/races/renishaw-solstice-race), and XC Cross Country Championship Ugu on 25 July 2026 (Contact Lungelo Zuma on 063 013 5477 | 1mashiza@gmail.com).

From world-class trails to unforgettable race experiences, Crocworld is fast becoming a must-visit destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Crocworld forms part of the 1,300-hectare Renishaw Coastal Precinct (RCP), which consists of lifestyle developments, Renishaw Hills and the newly launched Restilridge Farm Estate. Media clips used to require actual clipping. To see if PR efforts paid off, a company hired women in Maine to read through every single newspaper. Every time they found mention of a client, they underlined it with red wax pencil and were paid around two cents. PR pros would paste these clips into a “clip book” and show it to each client.
