RALEIGH, North Carolina: Jennifer Hadley Photography has opened its March 2027 Pumas of Patagonia wildlife photography expedition, an eight-day journey centred on tracking and photographing wild pumas in Torres del Paine and the surrounding private estancia landscape of southern Chile. Running from 10–17 March 2027, the departure is limited up to five travellers and is priced from USD $10,800.

For South African and African wildlife photographers considering an international predator photography journey, the expedition offers a field environment markedly different from a conventional African safari. Participants work on foot in Patagonia’s open steppe, supported by local guides and a dedicated tracker, with opportunities to photograph pumas against the region’s mountain landscapes.

Tracking and Photographing Wild Pumas on Foot

Pumas of Patagonia is centred on photographing wild pumas on foot in southern Chile. Local guides and a dedicated tracker use vehicles to locate puma activity before photographers continue on foot, either working from a position or following the animals as they move through the landscape.

The expedition takes place across public areas and private estancia land, with special permits providing access to additional habitat. Group sizes are limited to two to five travellers, allowing for a more focused field experience and individual photography guidance.
Beyond the pumas, the Patagonian landscape and wildlife such as guanacos and condors provide additional photographic opportunities throughout the journey.

A previous Pumas of Patagonia traveller said: “I came away from this trip with new skills and a deeper appreciation for wildlife and landscape photography.”

What the 2027 Patagonia Photography Package Includes

The journey begins in Port Natales with a welcome dinner. The following day includes a scenic drive through Torres del Paine National Park before the group checks into its lodge. Five full puma days follow, with the final day including additional time in the park before returning to Port Natales for onward flights to Santiago.

The package includes accommodation, including the first night, all meals and the welcome dinner, wine, beer and soda with dinner, professional local guides, park passes, access to private estancia land, and transfers to and from the park. The official Pumas of Patagonia package page currently lists only 3 places available for the 2027 departure.

In the 1930s, Public Relations was more popular than marketing. In fact, a magazine called “Public Relations” featured an organizational chart in which the PR team reported directly to the CEO and Chairman while the marketing department was all the way down at the bottom. PR was simply a bigger industry during that time. Remember: That was the same decade as The Great Depression. Companies were more interested in ensuring they built trust in communities than trying to market and sell a product to them.

A strategic combination of paid, earned and owned media is critical to building a strong brand—which has introduced a new overlap between PR and marketing roles. This has also contributed to a need for more data-driven communications.
