It is my distinct honour to welcome you to the NASREC precinct, The National Arts Sports Recreation Events Centre, a place that stands as a living testament to South Africa’s journey of transformation and resilience.

NASREC, also known as the Johannesburg Expo Centre, is more than just a venue. It is a space steeped in history, culture, and progress. Since its establishment in September 1984, it has grown to become the largest purpose-built exhibition and conference venue on the African continent, spanning over 50 hectares.
