One of South Africa’s Top Car Brands

30 October 2025 by Guest

Hyundai Automotive South Africa is celebrating a remarkable milestone: 25 years of driving excellence, backed by an impressive collection of over 70 motoring industry awards.

“It is humbling to be recognized as one of the best in the South African automotive industry, over the past quarter of a century,” said Stanley Anderson, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa. “Each of these awards is an independent vote of confidence from credible and respected jurors, therefore, we are immensely proud to have earned that trust consistently.”

Some of the most authoritative organisations who have bestowed these accolades include the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa, the National Automobile Dealers’ Association, the Southern African Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association, South African Guild of Mobility Journalists, various Car of the Year Awards as well as the Hyundai Motor Company Global Awards.

What makes these achievements particularly significant is that Hyundai Automotive South Africa earned them in competition with some of the long-established automotive brands. This further affirms the brand’s focus on quality vehicles, national dealer footprint as well as its commendable aftersales service that resonates with the public and industry experts alike.

“Every trophy tells a story of durability, reliability and trust. Yet despite these accolades, we remain humble and deeply grateful to our loyal customers, whose trust and support make every award possible,” added Anderson.

Hyundai Automotive South Africa’s success is the result of a collective effort that extends far beyond the Boardroom. “Behind every award and every happy customer are hundreds of our dedicated employees, from the technicians who keep our vehicles performing at their best to the cleaners who ensure our dealerships sparkle.”

The Hyundai brand in South Africa continues to grow in market share and reputation. The company intends to cement its place as one of the most loved and trusted brands, for the next 25 years and more.

Easy business conditions: In the World Bank’s 2017 Doing Business Report, South Africa was ranked 74 out of 190 countries. The ease of doing business not only brings investment into the country, but creates a desirable environment in starting a business. It is relatively easier to start a new venture in South Africa than other economies in the world.
