South Africa must say goodbye to driving licence cards | SA News


South Africa’s only driving licence card printer faces a production backlog of around 733,000 cards, and shifting to digital driving licences would provide immediate relief and prevent further backlogs.

Road safety expert and Driving.co za managing director Rob Handfield-Jones says scrapping physical driving licence cards and discs would be the ideal way to address the chaos at South Africa’s licensing offices.
