The R744,000 government-run website giving tech startups a leg-up in South Africa | SA News


Despite a touchy start, the Department of Communication and Digital Technologies’ DigiTech platform has proven helpful for several South African tech startups.

First launched in May 2022, the platform was criticised for its poor design and the large sums of money that were spent on it.

However, the department has since revamped the website, and users have applauded the department for supporting their growth journeys through DigiTech.
