Three killed in Eastern Cape crash – SABC News – Breaking news, special reports, world, business, sport coverage of all South African current events. Africa’s news leader. | SA News

Three people have been killed in a collision between two vehicles on the R67 near Thambo village in Whittlesea in the Eastern Cape.

One of the three died in hospital after being seriously injured in the collision which happened Sunday morning.

The provincial Transport Department says a case of culpable homicide has been opened.

“Yes, we can confirm the death of these three people from the accident that happened just outside Whittlesea in the early hours of this morning. There are two females and one male. One other male is in a serious condition at Hewu hospital,” says Spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Unathi Binqose.
