Africa, get ready to flex those remote controls! The homegrown hit CN Challengers Go! has already made waves on YouTube, racking up over 1.97 million views – and now, it’s about to set your TV screens ablaze! This proudly South African show is proving that our local talent can hang with the best of them on a global platform.
Since its YouTube debut in February, CN Challengers Go! has captured the hearts of viewers with over 765K views and an incredible 22.5K likes. This Mzansi-made marvel is so lekker that Cartoon Network Africa is bringing it to its linear channel just in time for Heritage Day!
Ana González, VP, Kids Content for Southern Europe, APAC and Africa at Warner Bros. Discovery, expressed her excitement about the show’s crossover success: “CN Challengers Go! embodies the bold, fun, and imaginative spirit of Cartoon Network. We are thrilled to showcase South African talent through this fast-paced and uniquely local series. The quirky challenges, paired with Ryan and Wilsy’s infectious energy, will no doubt connect with audiences across the continent. We’re proud to celebrate the diverse creativity coming out of Africa, and we know this show will have kids laughing out loud everywhere.”
From unexpected and fun activities, like bagpipe-playing antics and rocket launches, to testing fans’ Cartoon Network knowledge and the suspenseful ‘doughnut lottery,’ where mustard may replace custard for lucky (or unlucky) participants—expect nothing less than a whirlwind of weird, wacky, and wild moments!
Hosted by the local laugh-out-loud dynamic duo, Ryan Dube, a 15-year-old student from Brooklyn, Cape Town, and Wilsy Kituku (a.k.a. ‘Where’s Wilsy’), a 20-year-old creative and social media performer, this show is packed with Mzansi magic. Their on-screen chemistry is pure gold, guiding us through a series of wild, whacky challenges – all with a distinctly South African twist.
Wilsy shared his thoughts on the experience: “Guys, let me tell you, this show is a rollercoaster ride with no seatbelts! One minute, you’re climbing walls; the next, you’re dodging mustard-filled doughnuts like your life depended on it! I’ve never laughed so hard, but I’ve also never been so nervous about what’s coming next! It was a challenge, but I’m grateful to be part of this adventure for Cartoon Network. It’s next-level stuff!”
Ryan added: “I’m still recovering from the bagpipes, to be honest! But hey, that’s what makes this show so epic – you never know what challenge is waiting around the corner. Plus, doing it all with Wilsy makes it a non-stop laugh fest. We’re out here showing the world South Africa knows how to have fun and do it big. And to be on a platform like Cartoon Network? Yoh! It’s really exciting!”

Conservatism is constitutionally opposed to public reason, and this explains the abandon with which so many conservative pundits embrace flagrant simulations of reason, constructed through the methods of public relations, and exhibit so little regard for the real thing. – Philip E. Agre
