A Drive to Grow Jobs in the Northwest Province

A webinar to support government programmes aimed at creating sustainable employment in the North West Province will be held on 6 March 2025. The Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition (the dtic) and Productivity SA invite the media to the North West Workplace Challenge Programme Milestone Workshop. Productivity SA, is a government entity tasked with contributing towards job creation in South Africa.

The North West Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation and Tourism (NWDEDECT) and companies in the North West will highlight progress made in efforts to create jobs in the province.

Productivity SA and the North West Economic Development Department have signed a five-year Memorandum of Agreement to promote job creation in the province. The MOU is valid until April 2029. The Workplace Challenge Programme is funded by the dtic. Members of the media are invited to attend the workshop as follows:

The acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Productivity SA, Ms Amelia Naidoo says “in the past five years, Productivity SA and the Workplace Challenge Programme have supported over 1,344 enterprises and trained approximately 1,154 entrepreneurs”. ENDS
