Pretoria, South Africa, 28 July 2025: Jaguar TCS Racing made it two wins from two on home soil, and took its fourth victory in a row, as Nick Cassidy led from start to finish in his last race for the team in the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season finale in London.
Cassidy took his third win in as many races to snatch second place in the Drivers’ World Championship in the final round of the campaign, with his victory and fastest lap also helping Jaguar TCS Racing claim the runners-up spot in the Teams’ standings ahead of Nissan.
The Jaguar TCS Racing #37 led all the way from first on the grid, despite being pipped in the Duels Final by Dan Ticktum – the Kiro driver having had a five-place grid penalty applied for contact with Mitch Evans in yesterday’s race. Nick was helped to that duels final by teammate Evans backing off when they went head-to-head in the semi-final – a generous gesture.
After the race start, and despite a Full Course Yellow period and a four-lap stint behind the Safety Car, Nick was fully in command as he claimed his sixth win in Jaguar TCS Racing colours in his final outing for the team and his eleventh win overall in Formula E.
Nick was followed home on the road by team-mate Mitch, who held off strong pressure from Mahindra’s Nyck de Vries throughout after moving up from third place on the grid. After defending expertly from cars behind, the Jaguar TCS Racing #9 looked set to take the team’s first one-two of the season in outgoing Team Principal James Barclay’s final race with the team he launched in 2015. However, a five-second time penalty for a speeding infringement in the Full Course Yellow period denied Mitch and Jaguar TCS Racing a sensational double podium, and the Kiwi was classified fifth at the chequered flag.
Nevertheless, a victory in the season finale, with five coming in the last six races, ensured Barclay’s remarkable tenure as Jaguar TCS Racing’s Team Principal ends in fine style, as he departs after 127 races with 22 victories, 53 podiums, 13 poles and the 2024 Teams’ World Championship title.
A sixth win of the campaign for Jaguar TCS Racing, added to Envision Racing’s Sébastien Buemi taking victory in Monaco, made it seven overall for the season for Jaguar, also ensuring they leapt above Nissan on the final day to take runners-up in the Manufacturers’ World Championship.

Jaguar TCS Racing driver Mitch Evans, #9: “Again a frustrating day personally for me with the penalty – finishing P2 on the road but P5 with that applied. I’ll talk to the team about the strategy after we knew about the penalty to understand it properly.
“It’s good though to finish the season with real pace in the car, so I can go into the break and reset for next year. It’s good for the team to finish so strong too – with second in all three championships. A great way to send James off – whom I’ll always be grateful to for giving me the opportunity in Formula E.”
