A Score You Don’t Want to Scratch, Danie

Hyundai Automotive South Africa today handed over a brand-new Hyundai PALISADE to the Sunshine Tour’s number one golf player for the 2024/5 season, Danie van Tonder. His exceptional golfing performance will be well complimented by the flagship PALISADE. The handover ceremony took place at the company’s Head Office, in Bedfordview, Johannesburg.

The Order of Merit was based on tournament results during the season, calculated using a points-based system. The top three players on the Order of Merit (of which van Tonder finished first) earned them automatic promotions to play on the 2025/6 DP Tour.

“I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Hyundai Automotive South Africa for this generous vehicle sponsorship. This means a lot to me and it will definitely serve as even greater motivation to work even harder. My family and I are immensely grateful and cannot wait to create memorable moments of driving this classy PALISADE,” stated van Tonder.

“As Hyundai Automotive South Africa, we congratulate Danie on a brilliant golfing season which resulted in his automatic promotion to play at the prestigious DP World Tour. We are proud to partner with him and are optimistic that the luxury SUV PALISADE will enhance his driving experience,” said Gideon Jansen van Rensburg, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa.
