21 November 2025 – Sasol Banyana Banyana will face Morocco in an away international friendly match to be played in the North African country next month.

Coach Dr Desiree Ellis’ charges will face the Moroccans at a venue still to be confirmed on Tuesday 2 December 2025. Dr Ellis will announce her squad for the match on Saturday afternoon, 22 November 2025.

The coach will use the match as part of her preparations for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) to be held in Morocco from 17 March–3 April 2026. Banyana Banyana booked their place in the 2026 WAFCON after beating DR Congo 1-0 in a second leg qualifier (2-1 on aggregate) played at the Dobsonville Stadium last month.

The South African senior women’s national team officially qualified for the continental tournament after a dramatic 1–0 victory courtesy of a lone strike from Thembi Kgatlana.

The team will assemble in Johannesburg on Monday, 24 November 2025 and depart for Morocco on 28 November 2025.
