Residents of Pentech in Belhar are threatening court action to stop a state housing project.
They say they desperately need a school which they claim was promised by the City Of Cape Town decades ago.
The City says it engaged the community about the housing site and the project will deliver 216 housing units.
Meanwhile Pentech backyarders are caught between the demands of the community for a school and their need for housing.
