Casey Jarvis Clinches the 2025 Hyundai Open Title

The 2025 Hyundai Open reached its thrilling conclusion on Sunday at the prestigious Ebotse Links Golf Course, where Casey Jarvis claimed victory with an impressive 23-under-par finish and driving away in a brand-new Hyundai PALISADE.

Jarvis edged out his friend Ryan van Velzen after a tough final round. “Winning is not easy and Ryan did not make it easy for me. It is hard beating a friend and he is a close friend of mine. But I am very happy with my win today. Thank you to Hyundai for this sponsorship and supporting the Sunshine Tour,” said Jarvis.

The tournament brought together some of South Africa’s top golfing talent from the Sunshine Tour, delivering a spectacular showcase of skill, sportsmanship and precision on one of the country’s most spectacular and scenic golf courses.

Stanley Anderson, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa congratulated the players and expressed appreciation for the strong partnership between Hyundai and the Sunshine Tour.
“The Hyundai Open has once again shown how sport and performance go hand-in-hand,” said Anderson. “We are proud to associate our premium Hyundai brand lineup with the who’s who of the golfing community. This inaugural tournament also afforded us an opportunity to celebrate excellence, a defining attribute of Hyundai and this great game.”

Adding a fresh twist to the tournament, Hyundai Automotive South Africa introduced an exciting golfing innovation with its ‘Closest to the Pin’ challenge, giving players and spectators a thrilling display of precision and control. Jean Hugo who is a professional golfer, was the eventual winner of a brand-new Hyundai EXTER.

“This fusion of technology, talent and opportunity underscored our intention towards driving the game forward, both on and off the fairways. Congratulations to Jean on his brilliant performance and winning this innovative part of the tournament.”

Guest, players and officials got to first-hand experience the luxurious Hyundai STARIAs, PALISADEs and ALCAZARs. “Our fleet ensured that every moment of the Hyundai Open reflected our brand’s promise of design excellence, reliability and comfort,” added Anderson.
