City of Ekurhuleni top forensic auditor killed in drive-by shooting – SABC News – Breaking news, special reports, world, business, sport coverage of all South African current events. Africa’s news leader. | SA News

The City of Ekurhuleni says it is deeply shocked and saddened by the murder of its forensic audit head, Mpho Mafole.

Mafole was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on the R23 in Kempton Park, East of Johannesburg, on Monday.

The motive for his killing is being investigated by the police.

Mafole was driving on the R23 in Kempton Park at about 18:00 in the evening when he was fatally wounded.

Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says they found the victim lying in his car with gunshot wounds.
