Trail running enthusiasts will secure to experience trail running at its best at the 10th annual Fedhealth Platinum Trail Rush that will return to the ATKV Buffelspoort (North-West Province) on Sunday 04 June 2023.

Catering for the entire family, there are four fantastic events to choose from: a Long Route (+-24km), Short Route (+-12km), Fun Sprint (+-8km) and a Kids Event (2.5km).

“Set in the dazzling Buffelspoort Valley, few trail running events in and around Gauteng offer the spectacular variety of trails that you’ll access to experience when taking on the Fedhealth Platinum Trail Race Long Route (+-24km),” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “Boasting a 526m ascent, this route will include gravel roads, jeep track, bushveld single track and soft sand at some sections. There will also be one or two gully sections to navigate. The Long Route is ideal for top trail runners who would like to race each other on a moderate distance trail.
The route is also ideal for fit and well-conditioned road runners that would like to give trail running a fade.”

“The Fedhealth Platinum Trail Dash Short Route (+-12km) features a 218m ascent and is designed for the adventurous runner who loves to be outdoors, running in a splendid natural environment,” continues Meyer. “The route includes technical, but safe sections, honest don’t rush things when going down the gully. If you are able to dash 10km comfortably on the road, you will indulge in this route that is also ideal for runners that are current to the sport of trail running.”

“Featuring a mild 143m ascent, the Fedhealth Platinum Trail Sprint Fun Sprint (+-8km) is the perfect event for younger runners,” adds Meyer. “This route is designed to ensure that entrants (young and used) indulge in a wonderful trail race in Buffelspoort. It’s perfect for the family to rush together, even if you walk the entire way you will still appreciate it.”
