Around 2 months ago I finally activated and started investing in my Easy Equities account.
And my experience so far:
- Great with the Capitec App as I can drop micro amounts from my Live Better savings in Fractional Share Ownership which convert into actual shares as we meet and surpass the Share Price on offer.
- An exercise in patience as when looking at my overall account performance it is down by 2.55% (right now) – this fluctuates visibly as the share prices go up and down and normally after each purchase.
- Presently I am only invested in South African Shares (93%) and a Crypto Bundle (7%).
- I am slowly being convinced to move my Standard Bank Share Portfolio over to Easy Equities as well – as it is far more user friendly and focussed on the one task at hand.
Performance wise you can see from the numbers below that I made one DOOZY of a mistake which I am patiently waiting for itself to correct.
Share: Profit/loss *
- Advtech Limited: +12.27%
- Bidvest: -0.14%
- Old Mutual: -5.41%
- RMB Holdings Limited: -27.6%
- Tiger Brands: +2.42%
- EC10 Crypto Bundle: +6.44%
Overall Performance asof NOW: -2.55%
* Remember that each investor’s share journey will be different based on a number of factors such as: Date of purchase, Purchase price, Dividends re-invested or not, Prices of subsequent ongoing purchases, Share sold and traded and bought again etc.
