The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) extends its condolences to the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP), the family, friends, and comrades of the late Member of Parliament, Khethamabala Petros Sithole, who tragically lost his life in what is believed to be an assassination in Katlehong, Gauteng.
We are deeply disturbed by the violent and senseless killing of a public representative. The assassination of Mr. Sithole, a long-standing leader within the IFP, is a tragedy that calls for urgent and thorough intervention by law enforcement.
Mr. Sithole’s lifelong commitment to political service, from his days as a youth member of the IFP to his leadership roles as Gauteng Provincial Chairperson and Deputy Chief Whip in the National Assembly, reflects a life dedicated to public service. His passing is not only a loss to the IFP, but to Parliament and the broader South African society.
We call on the South African Police Service (SAPS) and all relevant authorities apprehend those responsible and ensure that justice is served without delay. May the soul of Comrade Khethamabala Petros Sithole rest in peace
