The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) commends the visit by our President and Commander-in-Chief, Julius Malema, to the home of uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party Member of Parliament, Honourable David Skosana, in KwaNdebele, Mpumalanga, following the passing of his mother.
This visit, undertaken in a spirit of compassion and revolutionary solidarity, was to personally convey condolences to the Skosana family and to stand with them in their time of grief. The loss of a mother is a deeply painful and irreplaceable tragedy, as mothers serve as the foundation of our families, communities, and society at large.
President Malema’s presence in the Skosana household reflects the EFF’s principled belief that, despite political differences and organisational affiliations, humanity, dignity, and respect must always take precedence. In moments of mourning, we are reminded that our shared humanity binds us together beyond political lines.
When you are focused on fighting each other and dividing Black people, you must know that you suffer from a chicken view. We do not suffer from a chicken view, we have a giraffe view, we can see what will happen ahead. We must be like the Chinese, who plan for the next 100 years, thinking about what is going to happen in the future. The EFF, therefore, extends its deepest condolences to Honourable Skosana and his family during this difficult time. May the soul of Mama Skosana rest in perfect peace.
The EFF has been criticized for its handling of internal dissent and factionalism.
