Dear Editor
The DA sees last night’s unannounced return of Loadshedding as an emergency act, that will bring more economic devastation and left leave families across our country in turmoil.
The DA shares in the outrage of all South Africans at this bout of Loadshedding with zero notice. We stand together in outrage.
This shows the incontrovertible need for a competitive energy generation market.
The DA calls for Eskom’s immediate horizontal unbundling to break its monopoly and end its ongoing failure to meet South Africa’s electricity needs.
South Africa needs new generation capacity to be built now!
This is an immediate and pressing concern for our nation.
Regards
Kevin Mileham MP
DA Spokesperson on Electricity & Energy
