The iconic Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K will celebrate its 7th anniversary on National Heritage Day, Tuesday, 24 September 2024. To mark this special occasion, event organisers Stillwater Sports, in partnership with Chery South Africa, will give away a Chery Tiggo 4 Pro LiT vehicle, valued from R279,000, to one lucky entrant.

“We are thrilled to announce that, in partnership with Chery South Africa, we will be giving away a Chery Tiggo 4 Pro LiT at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K on National Heritage Day,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. “In 2024, the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series together with Chery South Africa was committed to giving away five vehicles, one at each event, and this will be the final vehicle for the year. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate the spirit of our series while further elevating the runner experience and rewarding our dedicated participants. We look forward to seeing everyone in Joburg ready to #RunYourCity.”

“We are incredibly proud of our partnership with the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series,” says Tony Liu, Executive Deputy GM of Chery South Africa. “This collaboration allows us to promote a healthy and active lifestyle while giving back to the community. In 2024, we are thrilled to give away five Chery Tiggo 4 Pro LiT vehicles, one in each city hosting a RUN YOUR CITY event. We’ve already given away vehicles in Gqeberha, Cape Town, and Durban. In August, we will award another vehicle at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY TSHWANE 10K, culminating with our final giveaway at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K in September. It’s our way of celebrating the runners and demonstrating our commitment to this vibrant series. We look forward to seeing the excitement and joy on the faces of the lucky winners.”

Taking place on National Heritage Day, the Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K celebrates Johannesburg’s vibrant culture and history. The race offers participants the unique opportunity to explore the dynamic streets of Joburg, showcasing the city’s landmarks and diverse neighbourhoods.
