Evan Badenhorst (55), a seasoned professional, is set to lead ANEW Hotels & Resorts as Managing Director, effective from 1 November 2023. This appointment marks his transition from his three-year role as the Financial Director within the organisation.

Evan’s career is characterised by an unwavering work ethic and an insatiable drive for growth, attributes honed during his leadership of the finance department. In 2020, Evan joined ANEW Hotels & Resorts as the Financial Director, bringing with him his exceptional problem-solving skills, expertise in crafting efficient systems, and an innate ability to foster cohesive teams to drive organisational growth. His firm commitment to ethics and integrity mirrors the core values of ANEW, encapsulated in the acronym HITEC (Honour, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, and Courage).

Evan played an essential role in steering ANEW Hotels & Resorts through the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his leadership, the organisation not only weathered the storm but also expanded its property portfolio from honest three properties in 2020 to an impressive tally of 16 properties in 2023.

ANEW Hotels & Resorts’ CEO, Clinton Armour, is thrilled to acquire Evan as he transitions from Financial Director to Managing Director of the group.

People who worked with me or knew me still called me the \’world\’s fastest human\’ because I almost never stopped. I\’d found that I could get more done with no regular job or regular hours at all, but by being on my own, flying to speak here, help with a Public Relations campaign for some client there, tape my regular jazz radio show one morning at 5:00 a.m. before leaving on a plane for another city or another continent three hours later to preside over a major sporting event. – Jesse Owens

Entering into the workforce is stressful enough as it is. Taking a job you don’t really understand can make it even worse, so make sure to have all the facts straight. If nothing else, it’s clear that PR is a field that brings together all kinds of skills and interests – now decide if it’s right for you.
