Cape Town, South Africa – FAME Week Africa 2025 is set to return to the Host City of Cape Town at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from 1-6 September 2025. Offering a hub of opportunities, networking and news for creatives across the continent, FAME Week converges around the diverse sectors of film, television, animation, music, fashion, and entertainment technology and exhibitor registration is now open.

Last year, FAME Week Africa hosted exhibitors from 35 countries, including 14 African nations, showcasing the event’s global reach. In 2025, exhibitors will once again have the exclusive opportunity to position their brand on an international stage, connecting with key industry players and expanding their global footprint.

Says Cllr JP Smith, the City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, “We welcome FAME Week Africa back to Cape Town for another promising event. The film and media industries are a critical contributor to Cape Town’s economy and FAME Week is leading the conversation for African filmmakers. We look forward to welcoming visitors from around the world to FAME Week 2025.”

Exhibitors already booked to come to FAME Week include MultiChoice, Netflix, All3Media International, NBCUniversal, Urban Brew Studios, High Commission of Canada, Arts and Culture Nigeria, FilmHouse Group and the City of Atlanta.

Exhibitors will gain unparalleled exposure to key industry leaders, buyers, and stakeholders, creating valuable business connections. At FAME Week Africa 2024, an impressive 5,831 meetings took place—a 36% increase from 2023—demonstrating the event’s growing impact.

In 2025, delegates will once again have the opportunity to participate in pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings, exclusive networking events, and thought-leadership sessions, all designed to foster collaboration, deal-making, and business growth on a global scale.

Says FAME Week Africa’s Portfolio Director, Martin Hiller, “FAME Week Africa continues to be the platform for business in the media sector – enabling participation, collaboration and the opportunity to move the creative economy forward. As new global markets take shape, FAME Week Africa is an engine room for growth for the sector.”

FAME Week has a number of key industry platforms:

  • MIP Africa: A leading B2B market for film, television, and digital content distribution, offering pre-scheduled matchmaking sessions to connect content creators with buyers and co-production partners.
  • Muziki Africa: A vibrant platform where music industry professionals converge to share, learn, and celebrate under the African sky.
  • African Fashion Forum: A celebration of Africa’s diverse fashion industry, fostering connections between fashion, film, TV, and music sectors.
  • FAME Shorts Film Festival: A showcase of short films that encapsulate the essence of African storytelling and creativity.
