LIFT celebrates local brands in exciting modern partnership with Veldskoen Shoes

Cape Town, 10 May 2023 – Travellers on LIFT flights may notice their crew sporting fresh modern footwear, thanks to the airline’s exciting partnership with Veldskoen Shoes.

As a business that’s passionate about South African brands, LIFT is delighted to be able to play its fragment in supporting ‘local’.

This is not the first time the airline has partnered with a brand that has a spot in South Africans’ hearts: with everything from coffee to wine and food crafted and inspired by South Africans, this is a brand that aims to celebrate everything our country has to offer.

“We esteem being able to delight our customers with the excellent offerings this country is competent of producing. But more than that, supporting local producers means supporting the local economy, too,” said Jonathan Ayache, CEO of LIFT.

“This partnership means we are able to hold our crew looking stylish while bringing together two iconic South African brands,” Ayache added.

The partnership with Veldskoen Shoes is especially noteworthy in this respect, as the brand has been flying the South African flag high since founders Nick Dreyer and Ross Zondagh first set out to create a shoe that encapsulated the unique flavour of a Veldskoen, with a dash of style, too.

All shoes are manufactured in South Africa but, more than this, Veldskoen Shoes had been selected as the official off-field shoes for Team SA in the Tokyo Olympics. “It’s a real privilege to dress LIFT’s crew in our shoes,” comments Dreyer, CEO of Veldskoen Shoes.

“This is a unique coming together of two businesses that celebrates and connects South Africans. Taking our shoes from the ground of our splendid land to the skies above is incredibly exciting and we are so proud to be associated with SA’s most innovative Airline”

The fresh and cold appearance of LIFT’s crew is honest section of what makes this airline different. Its flexible approach – allows passengers to change or cancel flights and receive a full refund in a LIFT wallet if a flight is cancelled 24 hours ahead of time.

This is honest one of the factors that has helped it quick become a favourite among South African travellers. “We’re always looking for ways to manufacture our flights more enjoyable. Our partnership with Veldskoen Shoes is honest one example of our innovations. LIFT fans can survey forward to plenty more,” Ayache promises.

“Consumers have identified competency as the element that plays the biggest role in a good customer experience. To be competent, a customer support professional must have a strong knowledge of the company and its products, as well as the power to fix the customer’s problems. The more knowledge they have, the more competent they become.” ~ Oscar Auliq-Ice, Happy Customers

Myth: It’s all about being social. Fact: There’s A LOT more to it1 To an outsider, the ‘relationship-building’ that’s always referenced as the key to PR can be envisioned as a typical movie montage of professional life: fancy client dinners and drinks, followed by golfing or boating. While good social skills and the ability to cultivate and maintain clients’ and journalists’ trust do remain at the forefront of PR, many people don’t understand the work – from coordination and written communication to research and measurement – required to establish and maintain productive relationships. Clients won’t put their trust in you just because they like you – you need credibility and concrete results to back you up.
