G20 Summit declaration: A significant step for global stability and South Africa’s economy, says DA | SA News

The Democratic Alliance (DA) has hailed the G20 Leaders’ Summit Declaration as a “significant and positive outcome” that reinforces principles crucial for global stability, security, and development.

The declaration, which was reached on Saturday, includes a commitment by member nations to work towards easing the debt burden on developing countries.

DA Leader John Steenhuisen emphasised that the priorities outlined in the declaration are vital for South Africa, particularly as the government seeks to implement urgent reforms to “turbocharge” the country’s economy.
