Gqeberha Residents Warned Not to Consume Washed-up Meds

PORT ALFRED – Residents of the Ndlambe Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape are still baffled following the discovery of containers carrying medicine.

It’s believed the consignment may have been washed out to sea from a ship coming to deliver the medication.

Gqeberha residents, who may have picked up the contents, are being asked not to consume the medication.

The Maritime Business Chamber says such incidents are not uncommon in the shipping industry.

The investigation into how the medicine containers arrived on the beach continues.
