It has happened to the best of us – a burst geyser or faulty vacuum breaker in the roof space leads to mayhem below as the ceiling sags, water pours over valuables and the mop up always seems to happen at the most awkward times.

Then the insurance company insists on installing the replacement geyser on an outside wall.

Not only does this present an unsightly ‘feature’ for the homeowner but also introduces the real possibility of theft.

Compounding matters is that geyser trays warp or where never installed properly. Often the geyser ‘feet’ then rest in water leading to rust and failure. But the most common cause of flooding is as a result of Vacuum Breaker failure.

How Then Do You Save Your Ceiling From Being Flooded?

With Ceiling Saver.

Ceiling Saver is a long term cost saving device that fits over the vacuum breakers of a geyser. Vacuum breakers are known to fail, resulting in flooding of ceilings and damages within a home. By using a Ceiling Saver the water is diverted to the outside of a home via an overflow flow pipe preventing flood damage to the interior of a home.

It is recommended that the homeowner install a ceiling saver over both the inflow and outflow vacuum breakers on your geyser.

Expect to pay just less than R300.00 each in 2025.

Contact Straton Plumbing for a price to supply and install the Ceiling Saver.
