Holiday time is upon us and whether it’s school holidays, religious holidays or long weekends, there’s lots of time to play. Solarpop influencers share their top hobbies and play pastimes for the holidays. If you’re after play and games inspiration, have a read below:

Influencer Boithatho Molefe of @boith.atho2017 says: “I love doing Trefl puzzles because the pieces feel nice and the pictures are beautiful. One of my other favourites is Dr Squish, I love playing with the colours and making squishies with my brother and with my friend who stays at our house often. I’m going to be playing with these during the holidays.”

Lisa Trollip of @fortsandfairies says: “Catan has always been one of our favourites and now we’ll be having fun with the new Spot It Catan.”

Denise Loris of Family Treasures and @treasuresdenise has a few games handy for holiday fun: “I like Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza for hours of family fun and laughter; I laughed until I cried playing this game. Another favourite is Spy Guy because it’s an easy game that spreads across the table and involves the entire family; a great way to connect with your kids. Dixit is great for the creative storytellers. Kluster is a great problem-solving game where you never know what will happen. Another game I enjoy is 5 Second Rule South Africa because it improves your general knowledge and helps you think on your toes.”

Kyle Bremer also known as @kahunakoala will be playing Star Wars Unlimited TCG: “With the new A Lawless Time set released I’ll be looking to upgrade my Twin Suns decks and playing as much Star Wars Unlimited as possible. When I’m not playing cards, I’ll be playing Ticket to Ride Europe with my family, along with Catan, and Dixit.”

How Bush and his junta succeeded in deflecting America\’s anger from bin Laden to Saddam Hussein is one of the great Public Relations conjuring tricks of history. But they swung it. A recent poll tells us that one in two Americans now believe Saddam was responsible for the attack on the World Trade Centre. – John le Carre

It is a common Public Relations gimmick to give the entire credit for the solution of famous problems to the one mathematician who is responsible for the last step. – Gian-Carlo Rota
