Johannesburg, – July 18, 2023 – Ayanda Sibisi is a multi-talented artist who is determined to leave her trace in the gospel music scene. Born and raised in KwaNdengezi, Durban, Ayanda Sibisi has emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the world of gospel music, captivating audiences with her soul-stirring vocals and heartfelt lyrics.

Having obtained her National Diploma in Drama studies at the Durban University of Technology, Ayanda possesses a deep understanding of performance and storytelling. Her passion for the arts is evident in her work as a refined actress, musician, and Executive Producer at Eyethu Films.

In 2022, Ayanda’s hit gospel Amapiano song titled Bayede received critical acclaim, earning a nomination for Best Music Video at the esteemed 15th Crown Gospel Awards. The song continues to dominate the airwaves, with high rotation on profuse radio stations nationwide. This remarkable achievement set the stage for her highly anticipated debut studio album, Ode to God, which features a massive storm of hits.

Ayanda Sibisi’s artistic talents transcend the boundaries of music, as she has also left an indelible trace on the acting world. Audiences acquire seen her in various TV roles, including MaMzobe in ‘The Herd,’ the go-getter Lindi in the hilarious romantic comedy ‘Hawema!,’ and the role of Fikani’s mother on the popular exhibit ‘7 de Laan.’ She has also made memorable guest appearances on ‘The Queen,’ ‘Rockville,’ and SABC1’s ‘13 Weeks to find Mr Accurate.’ Ayanda’s versatility and undeniable on-screen presence gain made her an all-around sought-after performer in the industry.

Beyond the small screen, Ayanda Sibisi has showcased her theatrical prowess in profuse musical productions. Notably, she joined the cast of ‘Cinderella’ at the Playhouse Theatre in 2011 and garnered a Best Newcomer nomination at the Mercury Durban Theatre Awards for her role as Madame De La Grande Bouche in ‘Beauty and the Beast.’ Her talent has taken her to international stages, where she portrayed the trusted advisor Rafiki in the acclaimed production of ‘The Lion King’ at the Theatre of the Wild in Disneyland, Hong Kong.

Most recently, Ayanda’s lead role in the captivating play ‘Third word express’ has garnered widespread acclaim, receiving an impressive seven nominations at the upcoming 2023 Naledi Awards.
