Jozi 10s

24 July 2023 by Alan

Join us for the first-ever edition of the Jozi 10s and get ready to rock the City of Gold across two days of jam-packed action and entertainment! It’s all happening at St. Stithians College in Sandton on the 25th and 26th of August 2023.

Get ready to experience something extraordinary and enjoy an explosion of energy as Jozi hosts the ultimate festival of sports and gees! Picture this: Rugby, Netball, Dodgeball, all coming together in an exhilarating line-up of sporting action. Brace yourselves for heart-stopping moments and adrenaline-pumping clashes as these top-notch sports take center stage. Team entries are available to social and club players with a minimum of four games guaranteed and festival passes for the team included. Team registrations will take place on Friday with the matches happening on Saturday.

Action will be everywhere you look, from the fields to the stage and on the big screen, with the FanPark being the place to be on Friday as we back the Springboks against The All Blacks in a Rugby World Cup warm-up match.. There will be live music and entertainment from some of South Africa’s best acts. Don’t forget to throw on your best outfits on Friday and bring the vibe; there will be plenty of prizes to go around!

“Jozi 10s is more than just a sporting event; it’s an immersive experience that brings together the finest athletes, celebrities and entertainment acts to create unforgettable memories for fans from all walks of life, background or sporting ability. We are ecstatic to curate an extraordinary 2023 festival that celebrates the resurgence of sports and the joy of communal gatherings. We are pushing the boundaries further and faster, all while guaranteeing an absolute commitment to fun!” said Gerhardi Odendaal – Event Director.

The Cape Town 10s, founded as a rugby only event in 2008 by rugby legends Bob Skinstad and Robbie Fleck has earned much accolades and fan love and has since winning the coveted Best Live Event Experience Award at the South African Sports Industry Awards transformed into a Social Sport Series offering multiple different sports codes across cities in South Africa. Next in line being Sandton, Johannesburg. Prepare to be captivated by the electric atmosphere as athletes and fans alike come together to form lasting connections, celebrate victories, and revel in the spirit of camaraderie, all while enjoying a refreshing beverage or three. The Jozi edition of the 10s promises to be an experience of a lifetime and a new sport and entertainment offering on the Johannesburg social scene going forward.
