Pretoria, South Africa, 17 July 2024 – The 2024 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will draw to a close this weekend, as Jaguar TCS Racing returns to its home race in London for what will be a thrilling end to an action-packed season.
The British team, currently with 322 points, is aiming to convert its 33-point lead into victory and become the Teams’ World Champion, after finishing as runner-up last year.
To date, this has been Jaguar TCS Racing’s most successful season since entering the all-electric World Championship in 2016 having already exceeded its previous record points and podiums totals. The 322 points scored going into London is also more than any team has previously achieved in a full season.
Drivers Nick Cassidy and Mitch Evans currently hold first and second respectively in the Driver’s World Championship with just 12 points separating them. The 2023 London E-Prix saw Mitch Evans take Pole position and the win in Round 15 with Nick Cassidy doing the same in Round 16 (whilst driving for Jaguar’s customer team, Envision Racing), so the team expects the Jaguar I-TYPE 6 to be competitive again.
