Partnership with The Scoin Shop
This year marks a special milestone for the Brooklyn Knife Show, bringing all exhibitors together in a single, dedicated space. “ I’m also thrilled to announce a new partnership with The Scoin Shop, Brooklyn (https://scoinshop.com). Through this exciting collaboration, every visitor to the Brooklyn Knife Show will have the opportunity to enter a giveaway for a Natura Big 5 Elephant 5oz Silver Coin, valued at R20,000,” said van den Berg. The Natura Big 5 Elephant Silver Coin, known for its exquisite craftsmanship and the powerful depiction of one of Africa’s most iconic animals, represents a fitting prize for this year’s event, which celebrates artistry and skilled craftsmanship. Rael Demby, CEO of The South African Gold Coin Exchange & The Scoin Shop, commented, “ The Brooklyn Knife Show showcases bespoke blades and gives visitors the chance to experience exceptional mastery. We recognise the synergies between the heritage of knife making and the art of striking coins. Both show meticulous refinement and groundbreaking design. The pursuit of numismatics and knife collecting appeals to a similar community of collectors and enthusiasts alike.”

Double Eerie
Part of what the food industry does with Public Relations, just like the chemical industry or the oil industry, is to try to erase their fingerprints from their messaging. So when consumers hear about a recent effort like the \”food dialogues\” put on by a group called the US Farmers and Ranchers Alliance, do they know necessarily that these \”dialogues\” are being funded by companies like Monsanto, a large chemical company and the controller of most of the patents on genetically modified seeds? No, they don\’t. – Anna Lappe
