Message to Mngqithi? Broos hails Man-of-the-Match Mokoena: Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has once questioned the absence of midfielder Teboho Mokoena from recent Mamelodi Sundowns matches, after the midfielder’s Man of the Match performance against the Republic of Congo.
South Africa made easy work of Congo with a 5-0 hammering courtesy goals from Bathusi Aubaas, Iqraam Rayners, Lyle Foster and a Mokoena brace.

Dragons suffer first defeat in T20 Challenge: The Warriors had a bat first at St George’s Park and posted a massive total of 221/5 in their allotted 20 overs.
Jiveshan Pillay led the charge with the bat for the Warriors with 61 runs off 33 balls, while Sinethemba Qeshile scored 53 and the Proteas allrounder Patrick Kruger added 34 to the total.

Duanne Olivier, Alfred Mothoa, and JP Kings each managed to take a wicket for the Warriors in what was their third win of the campaign to move up to third on the table.

Hugo Broos sparks Bafana Bafana revival, reigniting South Africa’s football passion: There’s a new energy around South African football and it’s brilliant to see.
The enthusiasm around the national team is something we haven’t seen since the 2010 World Cup, and the big crowds we’ve seen in the league have been encouraging.
On Friday, Bafana Bafana took on — and beat — Congo in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in front of a full house at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
Last month, Orlando Stadium was at full capacity, as was the Free State Stadium when Bafana played Zimbabwe in a World Cup qualifier in June.
It’s a far cry from a mere year ago when head coach Hugo Broos was begging South Africans to start attending national team games.
It’s been an impressive turnaround all thanks to how Broos has transformed and created a feel good factor around the team.
And, for what seems like the first time in ages, South… continue reading HERE.

Foster, 24, started the first meeting between South Africa and Congo Brazzaville, scoring his side’s fourth goal in the 5-0 win.
However, he had to be stretchered off in the 68th minute and the South African Football Association has now confirmed that Foster is out of the second meeting at Stade Alphonse Massamba-Debat de Brazzaville on Tuesday.
“He suffered an injury to his left knee and was subsequently sent to scans for further analysis,” SAFA said via a statement.
“As part of the precautionary measures, Foster did not travel with the team to Brazzaville to allow him to rejoin his English club Burnley for early rehabilitation.”
Bafana Bafana doctor Dr Tshepo Molobi told SAFA.net:…continue reading HERE.
Is Gayton McKenzie a fan of our Executive Producer Rory Petzer?: We all know and love Executive Producer Rory Petzer’s engaging videos about current affairs and sports. This time, his commentary earned him a spot on the X wall of fame for South African Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie.
Rory Petzer has been cleverly doing ‘Champions’ videos for a while now, addressing his fellow South Africans as ‘Champions’. As one might address a friend or a ‘chommie’, he uses the term, ‘Champions’. To include our national soccer team in a positive light, he would say that when someone greets you, the best response is to say, ‘I’m Bafana, thanks’.
He posted a video on Saturday, 12 October, after Bafana Bafana’s 5-0 win over Congo Brazzaville in the AFCON 2025 qualifiers at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Gqerberha (which also happens to be Rory’s hometown).
The below video went viral as it received 215,000 views on…continue reading HERE.

A boer went to the appliance store sale and found a bargain. \”I would like to buy this TV,\” hetold the salesman. \”Sorry, we don\’t sell to boere,\” the salesman replied. He hurried home, took a shower, changed his clothes and combed his hair, then came back and again told the salesman \”I would like to buy this TV.\” \”Sorry, we don\’t sell to boere,\” the salesman replied. \”Bliksem, he recognized me,\” he thought. So he went for a complete disguise this time, haircut and new color, shaved off the baard, suit and tie, fake glasses, then waited a few days before he again approached the salesman. \”I would like to buy this TV.\” Sorry, we don\’t sell to boere,\” the salesman replied. Frustrated, he exclaimed \”Jislaaik, man! How do you know I\’m a boer?\”\”Because that\’s a microwave,\” the salesman replied.
