There is positive marketing and there is negative marketing.

And then there is Wee Julie marketing – Wee Julie has continued this week with some severe egg on his face after promising the revolutionary mother of all national protest actions – on a day when most South Africans were NOT at work anyway we had the EFF trying to shutdown the country and force Colossal Cyril out of his comfortable chair in the Union Buildings onto Phala Phala for a bit of money counting.

Wee Julie certainly gained the column centimeters in the sprint up to yesterday’s hollow and empty victory. And now he will maintain to see if he has gained in popularity or not.

One sector of our society that will not feel inclined to join the ranks of the Red Brigade will most certainly be all those in our security sector as we believe that all policement had their leave cancelled and were placed on standby. Now, if I was a policeman I know that I wouldn’t vote or support anyone who cost me my well earned time off from a stressful, underpaid and thankless job!

Wiil we now see that Wee Julie Marketing Playbook advance to a shuddering halt?
