HEAD COACH Sean Lynn has named the Wales side to face Scotland in the Guinness Women’s Six Nations opener at the Principality Stadium on Saturday, April 11th (KO: 4:40pm).
Flanker Kate Williams will captain a side featuring two new caps making their Wales debuts in the 2026 W6N campaign.
Jorja Aiono is selected at lock after impressing in a Brython Thunder side that reached the Celtic Challenge semi-finals in March.
Seren Singleton is named on the wing after establishing herself as a regular for Brython Thunder over the past three seasons.
Skipper Williams is joined in the backrow by Bethan Lewis at blindside flanker and Bryonie King at Number 8.
Aiono partners the experienced lock Gwen Crabb in the Wales engine room, and they will pack down behind Gwenllian Pyrs, Kelsey Jones and Sisilia Tuipulotu in the front row.
Wales have experienced Wales internationals, Keira Bevan, at scrum half and Lleucu George at fly-half.
The centres are Courtney Keight and Carys Cox with Singleton joined by experienced wing Lisa Neumann and full back Kayleigh Powell in Wales’ back three.
The Wales starting line-up includes ten players who played Celtic Challenge rugby for Brython Thunder of Gwalia Lighting ahead of the W6N.

“We have focussed on what we need to do and building the identity of this Wales team. We are all aware of the privilege and responsibility we have of representing Wales in the Guinness Six Nations.
“The players know we are representing the nation, our families and ourselves and this is an opportunity to show who we are and what it means to wear the red jersey.
“It’s a real privilege to name two new caps Jorja Aiono and Seren Singleton in this Wales side; they both fully deserve this opportunity and have impressed in the Celtic Challenge and in camp.
“Jorja has a real physicality and edge to her game that we need and Seren’s work ethic and willingness to put her body on the line for the cause are the attributes we are looking for.
“We know Scotland will pose a major challenge, but this is all about us and implementing the new processes and showing the grit and determination we have seen in camp.”
