New Partnership

17 February 2025 by Alan

SA Rugby and AfriSam, a leading provider of cement and concrete solutions, have renewed their partnership, which includes sponsorship of the Springboks and an expanded collaboration with South Africa’s other national rugby teams.

As the official cement and concrete sponsor, AfriSam will now support not only the world-champion Springboks but the Springbok Women, Springbok Sevens men and women, as well as the Junior Springbok teams.

The agreement reinforces AfriSam’s dedication to the strength, resilience and excellence that define both South African rugby and AfriSam’s industry-leading products.

Rian Oberholzer, CEO of SA Rugby, welcomed AfriSam’s ongoing support: “We are delighted to have AfriSam renew and extend its partnership with us. Their commitment to excellence mirrors the high-performance standards we set for our teams. With their support, we can continue to build a strong and sustainable rugby ecosystem in South Africa.”

This enhanced partnership builds on AfriSam’s longstanding relationship with SA Rugby and its commitment to empowering South African sport. By extending its support across all national teams and development structures, AfriSam reaffirms its role in laying a solid foundation for the future of rugby in the country.

“We are thrilled to continue our journey with SA Rugby and the Springboks,” said Eric Diack, Chief Executive Officer at AfriSam. “Rugby embodies teamwork, perseverance and strength—values that are deeply aligned with our business. By expanding our partnership, we aim to contribute to the growth and success of rugby at all levels, ensuring that South African teams continue to build on their legacy of excellence.”

AfriSam’s industry-leading cement and concrete products have played a crucial role in shaping South Africa’s infrastructure, and now, through this partnership, they will contribute to the growth and development of the nation’s rugby talent.

This strengthened partnership underscores AfriSam’s dedication to building a stronger South Africa—on and off the field. Rugby fans can look forward to seeing the AfriSam brand proudly supporting the Springboks and all SA Rugby teams as they continue their pursuit of excellence.
