Politically Aweh Live Special: Nation in a State

14 February 2025 by Guest

2025 has landed with a bang and US President Donald Trump is quickly shaking up the world order. Meanwhile President Cyril Ramaphosa has to keep the GNU (Government of National Unity) together and manage pressure from abroad – including trouble in the DRC. In his State of the Nation Address (SONA) recently, the president stood his ground against US bullying tactics, speaking up for the marginalised, which brought him praise. The GNU seems to be holding up, but is South Africa out of the woods yet? What of the recent return of load shedding, a growing water crisis, and SA’s ongoing corruption, poverty, and inequality scandals? And are we ready to host a G20 summit? Let’s get into all of it with your host, KG Mokgadi, and special guests and comedians! Let’s get aweh!
