GOOD Statement by Patricia de Lille, GOOD Leader & Minister of Tourism:

The GOOD Party extends our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of former Deputy President David Mabuza. Our thoughts are also with his colleagues in the African National Congress (ANC) as they mourn the loss of a long-serving comrade.

Mr Mabuza served as Deputy President of South Africa from 2018 to 2023 during the 6th administration. It was during this time that I served alongside him. He was an exemplary chair of intergovernmental forums, his meetings were marked by punctuality, clarity of purpose, and firm outcomes. I personally admired his respect for time and process, and it is a discipline we can all learn from in public service.

May his soul rest in peace.
