ORDO, the UK’s leading oral care innovator, in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, is bringing Illumination’s iconic Minions to bathroom shelves across South Africa. The Minions x ORDO Sonic Kids Battery Toothbrush (R 349.00) is available in two fun designs powered by sonic technology – resulting in a fun yet high-performance brushing experience.

This exciting collaboration marks the next step in ORDO’s mission to make oral care more accessible and engaging for families, blending effective everyday oral care with the mischief and joy of Illumination’s iconic Minions.

The Minions x ORDO Sonic Kids Battery Toothbrush is designed to do more than just look fun. It delivers up to 18,000 pulses per minute, helping to remove more plaque than a manual toothbrush¹ while remaining gentle on young teeth and gums. Suitable for children aged 4 and above, it features soft bristles and a compact handle designed specifically for smaller hands.

While kids will love the design, parents can feel confident in the brush’s performance and practicality. Offering up to 60 days of brushing from a single AA battery, it’s ideal for everyday use at home or on the go. The replaceable brush heads provide a more sustainable alternative to fully disposable options, and each toothbrush includes two brush heads – equivalent to up to six months of brushing².

The range is further supported by a number of thoughtful design and performance features:

  • Available in two bright, fun colourways: yellow & blue
  • Soft on teeth and gums, suitable for braces or dental work
  • Replaceable brush heads: Better value and less waste than fully disposable brushes
  • Two brush heads included: Providing up to six months of brushing

An accessible price point of R 349.00, making it an easy and affordable way to upgrade children’s oral care routines without compromising on quality or performance

Barty Walsh, Founder and CEO at ORDO, said: “Bringing iconic characters like Illumination’s Minions into children’s oral care is about more than fun; it’s about helping to build positive, lifelong habits from an early age. We know that engagement is one of the biggest barriers to consistent brushing, and if we can make that experience more enjoyable for children, we can help improve outcomes for families everywhere.

“At ORDO, our mission has always been to make effective oral care more accessible, and partnerships like this allow us to combine trusted technology with the characters families already know and love, helping to make daily routines easier for parents and more enjoyable for kids.”

The Minions x ORDO Sonic Kids Battery range has launched in Yuppiechef.

Since social media drives the news cycle and influences brand perception, it’s no surprise that it maintains a significant (and growing) role in the PR industry.
