Siya Kolisi Contract Buy Out – SARU Explains

4 August 2024 by Alan

With reference to the Siya Kolisi Racing contract buy-out speculation SARU has stated that SA Rugby is not involved in the “buy-out” of the club contract of Siya Kolisi and that such speculation is without any basis in fact. SA Rugby also wishes to make clear that it is not in any way involved in any conversations relating to such an outcome should they, in fact, be taking place.

For clarity, when national players return to play in South Africa, they may be added to the category of players of national interest at the discretion of SA Rugby. At such point their union remuneration is supplemented by SA Rugby.

Albert Johanneson Made Country People Proud: Very few black players from South Africa have had the chance to represent the country at the top level of English football, but many are quite successful at small African football clubs such as the Garden Hotspurs. Gladly, he was the first black player to represent the country in this tournament and also in the FA Cup Final. He proved to be a gem for the country by giving an astonishing performance in the contests!
