This discussion follows a recent, and premature, conversation between Presidents Donald Trump and Cyril Ramaphosa, where some of the issues the US has with South Africa’s government, such as farm murders and crime, were highlighted.
Many other significant matters were not even touched on, such as South Africa’s geopolitical stance and its ties with countries like Iran, Cuba and China, adding to the tension between South Africa and the US.
The root cause of this is that the ANC views itself as the sole decision-maker when it comes to South Africa’s international relations policy.
It is critical to place all relevant facts about South Africa on the table – from the economy to crime – as the current state of affairs leave no room for doubt that the country is in trouble.
The Freedom Front Plus’s sincere desire is to help build a winning country with everyone sharing in its success. At present, the country’s black majority are the biggest losers. This should, and can indeed, be rectified.
