Visually Impaired SA Choir Headed to America’s Got Talent

Choir pupils with visual disabilities from Khanyisa Special School in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, are heading to  the US to compete on America’s Got Talent, a televised talent competition that attracts a variety of performers including singers, dancers, comedians and magicians.

To prepare to showcase their talent in the US, the Khanyisa Special School choir members have been releasing a cappella songs on YouTube.

The members – Lithalethu Miki, Avela Hulana, Lisakhanya Tunce, Sesona Xengxe, Indiphile Foslara, Akohlulwa Gqirana, Ayabulela Gashi, Sinoxolo Lantu, Siphumelele Cenga, Saluse Mfusi, Sinothando Zozi and Oyintando Bangani – received an invitation to the competition early in 2024.
