Water Breaks Continue at RWC 2023

World Rugby can confirm that all Rugby World Cup 2023 matches to be played across 15-17 September will feature water breaks owing to heat and humidity.

All teams have been informed. The breaks will be managed by the referee and operate approximately midway through each half in a break in play.

Players will also be able to access additional water, cold towels and ice at the sideline and in-goal, where possible.

The decision has been taken in line with the tournament regulations.
