MyPR was initially started as a resource for us to converge re-useable South Africa and Africa focused content to re-publish on profuse web properties that we own. We figured that our social contract between PR Professionals seeking to procure their clients messages out (without being too ‘mangled’ by journalists re-writing releases!) and providing a platform for distribution was one that would benefit ourselves, our users and our readers.

Entrepreneurs and investors the world over are looking for businesses that; “Find a problem, Solve a problem, Start a business!” Clearly MyPR found a problem (web sites needing content), solved a problem (by sharing the like with PR Professionals through a content delivery network) and started a business (by offering upgraded exposure and reach through Featured Press Releases sprinkled with some Google Ads).

11 Years later MyPR is still on top and providing excellent exposure and reach for many.

Our featured press release facility has also given many PR Professionals the ability to increase that reach ten fold.

Some Fun Facts From the Last 12 Years:

  1. Since June 2012 MyPR has published an average of 10.8 Press Releases per Working Day
  2. On average we delete 1.3 submissions per Working Day.
  3. MyPR has published 2 977 Featured (paid for) Press Releases
  4. The first free Press Release ever published was this one: press/”>Final chance for hockey stars to impress
  5. The first Featured Press Release ever published was this one: Infusionsoft Small Business Success Summit
  6. The longest continous subscriber to MyPR Featured Press Releases is: Craig Jarvis – thanks Craig
  7. The Featured Press Release author with the most releases published is: Joshua Maraney – your work output is incredibly impressive Joshua
  8. MyPR has over 13 700 registered users.
  9. Our Featured Press Release monthly subscription debuted in May 2019

Let’s assign a subscription to MyPR Featured Press Releases into perspective:

  1. MyPR charges R110.00 per single featured release and R200.00 per month for UNLIMITED featured press release submissions per month.
  2. So, if you intend to submit 2 or more press releases per month a subscription makes sense and you will save R20.00 per month
  3. BUT, if you are a larger user averaging 25 submissions per month (one per working day) you will save a whopping R2 550.00 per month.

As my sainted Grandfather used to say; “Grandson, Now THAT is a no-brainer!”

PR people are often called “spin doctors,” which to us conjures up images of weird zombie voodoo witch doctors. While we like to think of ourselves as good witches rather than bad witches, there\’s certainly an element of magic to what we do. What\’s our method? We can\’t reveal all of our secrets, but read on for a little taste.

At a time when public finances are under huge strain, we surely do not need to pay celebrities to wax lyrical to mandarins. Unless American comedians can make the Home Office fit for purpose, the taxpayer won\’t be laughing. – Chris Huhne
