Get ready for an unforgettable week of competitive sailing and family fun at the SA Sailing Youth National Championships 2026, hosted by Lake Deneys Yacht Club (LDYC) from 16–21 December 2026.

Located on the Vaal Dam, the largest inland sailing water in South Africa, this event offers professionally managed championship racing and an exceptional holiday atmosphere for the whole family.

The last time a South African Sailing – Youth National Championships was held in the Free State was around 1974.

LDYC proudly holds a Guinness World Record for the greatest number of yachts to finish an inland yacht race – 389 finishers in 2007, with entries reaching as high as 712 boats. This is a club that knows how to put on a show.
