5 November 2026 – Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane has announced his final  squad for this month’s back-to-back 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Kenya.

The South African senior men’s national team will host the Harambee Stars at Orlando Amstel Arena in Johannesburg on Friday, 13 November 2026 before traveling to Nairobi for the second match to be played on Tuesday, 17 November 2026. Kick off at Orlando is at 18h00.

Mosimane has included captain Ronwen Williams and midfielder Teboho Mokoena, even though the Mamelodi Sundowns players are working their way back to fitness after suffering injuries recently. Sundowns are playing a CAF Super Cup final against USM Alger on Sunday and Mosimane said he will take his time and observe whether they participate in this encounter before making a final decision.

“Those are key players who led us in the first AFCON (in 2024), the second AFCON (in 2025) and at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. They were part of the AFCON qualifiers against Guinea and Eritrea (in September 2026), right?

“So, they are very, very important players and we will wait till the last possible moment should the doctors say to me ‘coach,  we are ruling them out.’  Then we can bring in other players just as we did  when we brought in Tshepang Moremi (to replace injured midfielder Lebohang Maboe) in the last camp.”

Mosimane said the Bafana Bafana medical team and the members of his technical staff  have remained in contact with Sundowns and will continue to monitor the situation.

Bafana Bafana will assemble for camp in Johannesburg on Sunday, 8 November 2026.
