BENONI: The Division 2 T20 Knockout has reached its final stages, with the semifinals scheduled for 16-17 October, and the final taking place on Sunday, October 20.

In a thrilling final round of group matches this past weekend, ACDC Express Tuskers handed Eastern Storm their first defeat of the competition. Tuskers held their nerve with a narrow one-run victory, putting an end to the Storm’s unbeaten streak.

Despite the loss, Eastern Storm still finished top of the standings and will now face Northern Cape Heat in the first semi-final on Wednesday, 16 October.

Northern Cape Heat earned their spot after a vital win over Limpopo Impalas, and they’ll be looking to build on that momentum as they take on the top-ranked Eastern Storm. With their victory, Northern Cape Heat leapfrogged Limpopo on the standings, claiming fourth place and knocking the Impalas out of the running for the semi-finals.

In the second semi-final, Tuskers will host Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers in Pietermaritzburg on Thursday.

Badgers, having qualified for the semifinal, will be eager to test the Tuskers, who will be riding high after their victory over the log leaders.

This dramatic turn of events sets the stage for an exciting conclusion to the T20 Knockout competition, as the four top teams battle for a place in the final on Sunday.

Jonty Rhodes: When it comes to ranking greatness, fielding takes a backseat, but not when it’s Jonty Rhodes. He raised the bar of fielding to a height that is still untouchable. Widely regarded as the best fielder of all time, Rhodes makes it to 10th on the list.
Rhodes was the first South African cricketer to take 100 catches in ODI. Apart from fielding Rhodes has a decent batting record. He has scored over 8000 career runs with a top score of 121 in ODI.
