At the water’s edge, where visitors from near and far gather for an unparalleled retail experience, public opinion is paramount. The V&A Waterfront would not be the inclusive, accessible neighbourhood it is without the support of its visitors, which is why this year’s new Neighbourhood Retail Tenant Awards are turning to the people who matter most to have their say.

The People’s Choice Award, which will be awarded to one store and one restaurant in the precinct, will be determined by a public vote – giving visitors the power to support the establishments that make their Waterfront experience a special one.

Nominations, which close at midnight on 4 August 2024, are open for the public to put forward their favourite store (any place to shop at or experience) and restaurant (sit-down or takeaway) in the neighbourhood. Everyone who nominates their two top picks goes into a draw to win a R1 000 V&A Waterfront voucher.

Thereafter, the five stores and five restaurants which garner the most nominations will be put forward for voting to win the 2024 People’s Choice Award. Then it’s up to the public to have their say once again: vote for your favourite store and restaurant from the finalists until midnight on 11 September 2024 and stand a chance to win a R3 500 V&A V&A Waterfront voucher.

One outstanding store and one exceptional eatery will each walk away with a People’s Choice crown. This award will honour the tenants who are the most beloved by visitors and customers, solidifying their reputations as the favourite brand among patrons and setting a benchmark for excellence with their consumers.

First of all I would like to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question which
I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing.
I have had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out.
I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints?
    Thank you!

I think the number one public-relations blunder Osama has made is that he lives in a cave-fortress and if there\’s one thing we\’ve learned from it\’s that you can\’t trust a guy who lives in a cave-fortress — Lex Luther, Captain Nemo, Dr. Evil. I\’m telling you the list goes on. – David Letterman
